Bowed Dread

A short and raw experimental acoustic atonal track using bowed cymbals, djembe, my grandma's rusty old autoharp, a table, a noise sample, and a podium mic.

Making it for a game jam initially, but I plan on expanding it further and also releasing the bowed cymbal stems for free for game designers/sound designers.

No post processing on any of the tracks other than delay and a slight limiter on the master.

The inspiration with the themes for me were instability, atonality, and noisy textures. I also wanted to lean into the resonance and instability of acoustic instrumentation and mic sensitivity when pushed.
